The ACCUPRO 12181955 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. Built from micrograin carbide with a TiCN (titanium carbonitride) finish, this tool delivers extended tool life and improved wear resistance compared to uncoated carbide. It features a 1/4 inch cutting diameter, a 3/4 inch length of cut, and a 40-degree helix angle with three spiral flutes for efficient chip evacuation. The centercutting geometry allows direct plunge entry into the workpiece. Suitable for CNC machining centers and manual mills, this end mill is installed and operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and contouring operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The TiCN coating makes it well-suited for harder steels and materials that generate significant tool wear. The 1/4 inch shank diameter fits standard collets and end mill holders on vertical machining centers and milling machines. The regular-length body keeps the setup rigid, minimizing deflection during high-feed passes. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is the standard orientation for most CNC and manual milling setups.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide end mill for standard 1/4 inch collets and end mill holders on CNC machining centers, knee mills, and manual vertical milling machines.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists. Secure the shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque the drawbar or clamping nut according to the machine manufacturer specifications. Inspect the collet and holder for runout before machining. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut or feed rate for the material being machined, as solid carbide tooling is brittle and susceptible to breakage under shock loading or excessive vibration.
