The ACCUPRO 12181937 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It carries a 7/64 inch (0.1094 inch) cutting diameter with a 3/8 inch length of cut, a 1/8 inch shank diameter, and a 1-1/2 inch overall length. The three-flute, spiral configuration runs a 40-degree helix angle with a right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction. An AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating improves heat resistance and extends tool life in demanding cutting conditions. The micrograin carbide substrate supports fine edge retention at higher surface speeds. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling technicians in job shop and production environments.
This end mill fits regular-length milling applications where a small-diameter, three-flute geometry is needed for slotting, profiling, and peripheral cuts. The centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece. The 40-degree helix promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces on thin walls or small features. Extended reach is not available on this configuration, so it is suited to shallow-to-moderate depth cuts within its 3/8 inch length of cut. It is appropriate for use in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills where 1/8 inch collet or end mill holders are available.
Designed as a regular-length square end mill for use with 1/8 inch end mill holders or collet chucks in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines requiring a 7/64 inch cutting diameter.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Seat the shank fully to the recommended gauge line in the collet or holder and torque the retention hardware according to the holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial test indicator before commencing cuts to protect both the tool and the workpiece.
