The ACCUPRO 12181853 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a 1/16 inch (0.0625 inch) mill diameter and a 3/16 inch length of cut, this tool removes material in tight spaces where larger cutters cannot reach. The AlTiN coating improves heat resistance and extends tool life at elevated cutting speeds. Three flutes with a 30-degree right-hand spiral helix provide efficient chip evacuation and a smooth finish. Centercutting geometry allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece. This end mill is used by machinists and CNC operators working in tool rooms, job shops, and production environments.
This end mill suits finish milling, slotting, and light profiling operations on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, hardened steels, and similar materials where a small-diameter, high-rigidity cutter is required. The 1/8 inch shank diameter fits standard collets and tool holders used on vertical mills, machining centers, and CNC routers. The 1-1/2 inch overall length keeps the tool rigid, reducing deflection during precise contouring passes. It is well suited for mold and die work, prototype machining, and detail cuts in tight pockets or near workpiece walls.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide square end mill for 1/8 inch collets and tool holders on standard vertical mills, CNC machining centers, and compatible rotary tool spindles accepting a 1/8 inch shank.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or changing end mills. Seat the shank fully in the collet to the manufacturer-recommended engagement depth and torque the collet nut to the tool holder specification. Inspect the cutting edges and coating condition before each use; carbide end mills at this diameter are brittle and susceptible to chipping from side impact or improper runout.
