The ACCUPRO 12181613 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It features a 7/64 inch (0.1094 inch) cutting diameter, a 3/16 inch length of cut, and a 1/8 inch shank diameter with an overall length of 1.5 inches. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in high-temperature cutting applications. The 40-degree helix spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation. This is a stub-length, center-cutting tool ground from micrograin carbide stock, suited for machinists and tool-and-die professionals running tight-tolerance work on CNC mills and manual knee mills.
This end mill is intended for use in applications requiring small-diameter precision cutting, including slots, pockets, and contour milling in hardened steels, stainless steels, and alloy materials. Its stub-length profile reduces deflection at small diameters, making it a practical choice for tight-clearance features. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is standard for conventional CNC spindle direction. Typical installations include mold and die shops, aerospace component machining, and general precision machine shops working with close-tolerance part features.
Designed as an OEM-style precision end mill for use in any 1/8 inch collet or end mill holder on CNC machining centers, vertical mills, or manual knee mills requiring a 7/64 inch square end mill.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Use a properly sized 1/8 inch collet or tool holder and confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut. Follow machine manufacturer torque recommendations for collet nuts; do not over-tighten, as this can damage the shank or affect concentricity.
