The ACCUPRO 12181595 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision material removal in CNC milling applications. It features a 9/64-inch (0.1406-inch) cutting diameter and a 3/8-inch length of cut, with a stub-length profile that reduces deflection and improves rigidity in tight-reach setups. The 2-flute spiral geometry with a 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation, while the AlTiN coating extends tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. This end mill is centercutting, allowing direct plunge entry into the workpiece. Machinists and CNC operators in metalworking and precision fabrication shops are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is suited for milling ferrous and non-ferrous metals, hardened steels, stainless alloys, and similar materials where a tight-tolerance, high-performance carbide tool is required. Its stub-length design makes it appropriate for shallow pocket milling, slotting, and profiling operations where maximum rigidity is preferred over extended reach. The 3/16-inch shank diameter fits standard ER-series collets and milling chucks compatible with that shank size. It is used in both production and job-shop environments on vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill compatible with any CNC milling setup accepting a 3/16-inch shank diameter via ER collet, shrink-fit, or milling chuck toolholders.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool path is programmed before seating the end mill in the toolholder. Verify collet or chuck runout is within acceptable tolerance for the shank diameter, as runout directly affects tool life and surface finish. Follow shop-standard speeds and feeds for solid carbide tooling with AlTiN coating when establishing cutting parameters.
