The ACCUPRO 12181581 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.0984 inch (2.50 mm) mill diameter and a 0.1969 inch (5.00 mm) length of cut, this stub-length tool is built for tight-clearance work where rigidity and accuracy matter. The micrograin carbide construction supports higher cutting speeds and finer finishes compared to standard carbide grades. A 30-degree helix angle with spiral flute geometry promotes smooth chip evacuation. This end mill is centercutting, allowing plunge entry, and runs right-hand cut with right-hand flute direction. Machinists and CNC operators working in tool rooms, job shops, and production environments are the primary users.
This end mill is well suited for slotting, profiling, and plunge milling in small-feature work on metals, composites, and engineering plastics. The stub length configuration reduces deflection and improves tool life in shallow-depth applications. The 3.00 mm shank diameter and 38.00 mm overall length make it compatible with standard collet and end mill holders used on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. Uncoated carbide is appropriate for applications where coolant is used or where coating compatibility with the workpiece material is a concern.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill suitable for use in standard collet chucks and end mill holders accepting a 3.00 mm shank diameter across CNC machining centers and compatible manual milling equipment.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Verify collet size matches the 3.00 mm shank diameter and that runout is within acceptable limits before beginning a cut. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each use, as micrograin carbide tools can fracture if operated with edge damage.
