The ACCUPRO 12181567 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. With a 0.0394 inch (1 mm) mill diameter and a 0.0787 inch (2 mm) length of cut, this stub-length tool is built for tight-tolerance work in small-bore and detail milling operations. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the hardness and wear resistance needed for consistent performance in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. A TiCN coating reduces friction and extends tool life in production environments. Machinists and CNC operators in job shop, toolroom, and production settings install this tool in precision spindles where repeatability and edge integrity are critical.
This end mill is suited for finish milling, slotting, and profiling in small-feature work on machining centers and CNC mills. The stub length configuration increases rigidity and reduces deflection, making it a practical choice when working in shallow pockets or close to a workpiece shoulder. The 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation, and the centercutting geometry allows plunge entry. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation is standard for conventional CNC spindle rotation.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide square end mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 0.1181 inch (3 mm) shank diameter collet or tool holder.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator using a collet or end mill holder rated for the 0.1181 inch shank diameter. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an energy-isolated state before tool changes. Verify collet and holder cleanliness to seat the shank within the specified shank diameter tolerance of -0.0001 / -0.0004 inch. At this diameter, avoid excessive overhang beyond the collet face to prevent tool deflection or breakage during operation.
