The ACCUPRO 12181554 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 3/4 inch diameter with a 0.045 inch corner radius and a 1-1/2 inch length of cut, making it well suited for profiling, slotting, and contouring operations where a defined edge radius is required. The micrograin solid carbide construction is coated with AlTiN (Aluminum Titanium Nitride), which provides high heat resistance and extended tool life in ferrous and hardened materials. With a 40-degree helix angle and 2 flutes in a right-hand spiral configuration, this single-end, centercutting tool delivers efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting performance in demanding machining environments.
This end mill is intended for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in job shops, production facilities, and toolrooms. It is commonly applied in CNC machining centers for finishing passes on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and other hard materials where corner breakdown must be minimized. The centercutting capability allows for direct plunge entry, adding flexibility to complex part programs. The 3/4 inch shank diameter fits standard ER and side-lock tool holders common to most CNC mills and machining centers.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide corner radius end mill for use in standard 3/4 inch ID CNC tool holders including ER collet chucks and side-lock holders on vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the tool holder manufacturer torque and runout specifications. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Verify tool projection and runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut. Follow applicable shop safety procedures and machine tool operating codes when setting tool offsets and feeds.
