The ACCUPRO 12181546 is a single-end corner radius end mill designed for precision milling of ferrous and non-ferrous metals in CNC machining centers and manual mills. It features a 3/4 inch diameter, a 0.06 inch corner radius, and a 1-1/2 inch length of cut. The body is machined from micrograin solid carbide and finished with a TiCN coating, which increases surface hardness and reduces heat buildup during aggressive cutting. The 40-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is suited for finishing and semi-finishing operations where a controlled edge radius is required to reduce stress concentrations in milled pockets, slots, and contoured surfaces. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, adding flexibility in toolpath strategy. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting geometry make it compatible with standard spindle rotation on conventional vertical and horizontal machining centers. It is a solid choice for applications in die and mold work, aerospace components, and general precision machining where corner geometry tolerance is critical.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct tooling selection for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 3/4 inch shank diameter end mill holder or collet chuck.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety protocols. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into a properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque the retention hardware to the tool holder specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, and confirm feeds and speeds are appropriate for the workpiece material and coating type.
