The ACCUPRO 12181450 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precise milling operations in metal, alloy, and hard material applications. With a 29/64 inch (0.4531 inch) cutting diameter and a 2-flute spiral design, it delivers efficient chip evacuation and clean edge finishes in a variety of cut types. The TiCN coating increases surface hardness and reduces friction at the cutting edge, extending tool life in abrasive materials. A 40-degree helix angle promotes smooth cutting action and reduces chatter during full-depth passes. This end mill is single-end, centercutting, and built from micrograin solid carbide for dimensional stability under thermal load.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers, manual mills, and production milling environments where close-tolerance slotting, profiling, and plunge operations are required. The 1 inch length of cut and 3 inch overall length make it practical for standard-depth pocket milling and peripheral profiling on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals handling precision stock removal will find this geometry well-matched to medium-to-hard materials. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are standard for conventional CNC spindle setups.
Designed as a standard-geometry replacement or working end mill for CNC machining centers and manual knee mills accepting a 1/2 inch shank diameter collet or end mill holder.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Secure the 1/2 inch shank in a properly sized collet, end mill holder, or shrink-fit toolholder, ensuring full seating depth before torquing the retention mechanism. Confirm spindle runout is within acceptable limits before engaging the cut, as excessive runout accelerates coating wear and reduces dimensional accuracy. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling.
