The ACCUPRO 12181386 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it provides the rigidity and wear resistance required for demanding machining environments. The 0.045-inch corner radius reduces stress concentrations at workpiece corners and extends tool life in high-cycle applications. A 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The AlTiN coating adds thermal and oxidation resistance, making this tool well-suited for dry or semi-dry cutting conditions at elevated speeds. This end mill is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers in production and toolroom environments.
This corner radius end mill is used in vertical machining centers and CNC milling machines for profiling, slotting, and contouring operations where a radiused corner is required. With a 5/16-inch diameter and 3/4-inch length of cut, it is suited to light-to-medium material removal in steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar alloys. Its centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, giving operators flexibility in toolpath programming. Single-end construction keeps the tool straightforward to load and set in standard collets or end mill holders.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard toolroom end mill compatible with 5/16-inch collets, shrink-fit holders, and end mill holders used in CNC vertical machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the machine spindle fully stopped and locked out before tool changes. Seat the shank fully into a clean, properly sized collet or holder to the recommended engagement depth and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chips or wear before each setup. AlTiN-coated carbide tools should not be used with coolants containing high sulfur content, as this can degrade the coating.
