The ACCUPRO 12181375 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It features a 5/16-inch diameter, a 3/4-inch length of cut, and a 0.015-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life in demanding applications. The TiCN coating provides increased surface hardness and lubricity, improving wear resistance over uncoated carbide. With a 40-degree helix angle and right-hand spiral flutes, this two-flute end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is used in vertical and horizontal machining centers as well as manual knee mills where a center-cutting, single-end tool is required. The 5/16-inch shank diameter matches the cutting diameter, allowing use in standard collets and end mill holders without step-down adapters. It is appropriate for finish profiling, light slotting, and corner-radius contouring on workpieces where a sharp internal corner is not acceptable or where mold and die geometry requires a blended radius. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the rigidity needed for high-speed and high-feed strategies in hardened or abrasive materials.
Designed for use in standard 5/16-inch collets and end mill holders on vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills requiring a single-end, corner-radius cutting tool.
Installation is performed by machinists using standard collet or end mill holder tooling systems. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of chips before seating the shank. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping to confirm proper seating. Follow machine manufacturer torque specifications for the collet nut or set screw to prevent tool pullout during cutting.
