The ACCUPRO 12181327 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.2362-inch (6.00 mm) mill diameter and a 0.748-inch (19.00 mm) length of cut, this two-flute tool delivers efficient material removal and clean edge geometry on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. The TiCN (titanium carbonitride) coating increases surface hardness and reduces friction, extending tool life in demanding cutting environments. Manufactured from micrograin carbide, it holds tight tolerances and resists wear across extended production runs. This end mill is centercutting, allowing plunge entry directly into the workpiece.
This end mill is suited for light to medium milling operations in CNC machining centers and manual mills across job shop, tool-and-die, and production environments. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action, making it well-matched for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in steel, aluminum, and similar materials. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration is standard for conventional vertical milling setups. Overall tool length is 63.00 mm (approximately 2.48 inches), fitting standard collet and end mill holder systems used in typical shop configurations.
Designed as a standard single-end square end mill for use in collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit tooling systems that accept a 6.00 mm (0.2362-inch) shank diameter with a shank tolerance of -0.0001 / -0.0004 inches.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool path program is verified before securing the end mill in the holder. Use the appropriate collet or holder rated for the shank diameter and confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut. Follow the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and coating type to avoid premature tool wear or breakage.
