The ACCUPRO 12181310 is a single-end corner radius end mill ground from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlTiN for extended tool life in demanding cutting applications. The cutter measures 3/16 inches in diameter with a 5/8 inches length of cut and a 0.06 inches corner radius that blends the floor and wall of a pocket or profile to reduce stress concentrations in the workpiece. At 2 inches overall length with a matched 3/16 inches shank, the 12181310 fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders used in CNC machining centers and manual mills. Two right-hand spiral flutes with a 40-degree helix provide chip clearance in a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece.
This end mill is suited for light to moderate material removal in precision machining environments, including mold and die work, aerospace component finishing, and general job-shop profiling where a radius corner is required by part geometry or engineering specification. The AlTiN coating raises surface hardness and oxidation resistance, making the tool effective in dry or minimum-quantity lubrication cutting strategies at elevated spindle speeds. Machinists and CNC operators in production and prototype shops are the primary users.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use end mill for standard 3/16 inches collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in an e-stop or locked-out state. Seat the shank fully into the holder and torque the retention mechanism to the tool holder manufacturer specification. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges under magnification before first use to confirm no chipping occurred during shipping. Follow applicable shop safety procedures and machine tool operating standards when setting speeds and feeds.
