The ACCUPRO 12181291 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal fabrication and machining environments. It features a 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) mill diameter with a 0.01 inch corner radius, producing a controlled edge break or fillet on machined features. The 5/8 inch length of cut and 2 inch overall length suit it for shallow-to-moderate depth slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling. With 2 flutes in a right-hand spiral configuration, it delivers efficient chip evacuation at higher feed rates. Micrograin solid carbide construction provides rigidity and wear resistance without a coating, making it suitable for dry or light-fluid cutting in ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where a small corner radius is required to reduce stress concentrations at part shoulders or to meet drawing callouts for blended edges. Single-end, centercutting geometry allows plunge entry as well as conventional profiling passes. The 3/16 inch shank diameter fits standard collets and toolholders in that bore size. It is appropriate for job shops, tool rooms, and production environments handling small-to-medium workpieces in steel, aluminum, brass, or similar machinable materials.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide corner radius end mill for use in standard 3/16 inch collets and toolholders on CNC machining centers or manual knee mills; no specific model compatibility was provided by the manufacturer for this part number.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with toolholder torque requirements and runout specifications for solid carbide end mills. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in a safe state before loading or removing the tool. Confirm collet bore size matches the 3/16 inch shank diameter and that the shank is seated to the minimum recommended engagement depth for the holder style in use. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material, as carbide end mills of this diameter are susceptible to breakage under excessive radial or axial load.
