The ACCUPRO 12181273 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precise milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.1378-inch (3.50 mm) cutting diameter and a 0.4724-inch (12.00 mm) length of cut, this two-flute tool is built for controlled material removal in tight geometries. The TiCN (titanium carbonitride) coating improves surface hardness and heat resistance, extending tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Machining professionals and CNC operators install this end mill in standard toolholders for finish and semi-finish milling passes.
This end mill is suited for light-to-medium milling work in precision machining environments, including mold and die, aerospace component work, and general CNC machining. The two-flute configuration provides adequate chip clearance in applications where material tends to pack, such as softer metals or plastics. The regular-length geometry and 4.00 mm shank diameter make it compatible with common collet and toolholder setups. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation follow standard CNC spindle configurations. Centercutting capability allows for direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers and manual mills using collets or toolholders sized for a 4.00 mm (0.1575-inch) shank diameter.
This tool is installed by qualified machinists or CNC operators. Before changing tooling, shut down spindle rotation completely and confirm the machine is in a safe, locked-out state. Seat the shank fully into the collet or toolholder and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, and verify runout with a dial indicator when precision tolerances are required.
