The ACCUPRO 12181256 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. With a 1/8 inch diameter and a 0.015 inch corner radius, this single-end tool produces controlled edge breaks and blended radii on finished part features. The 2-flute configuration and right-hand spiral flute geometry support efficient chip evacuation in a range of materials. Micrograin carbide construction provides wear resistance and edge integrity at the cutting zone. The bright, uncoated finish makes it suitable for non-ferrous metals and general-purpose milling where coating chemistry is not required. Overall length is 1-1/2 inches with a 1/2 inch length of cut.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers, manual knee mills, and toolroom applications where tight-tolerance corner radii are required on pockets, slots, and profiled edges. The centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece without a pre-drilled hole. With a 1/8 inch shank diameter, it mounts in standard collet chucks and ER-style toolholders common in precision machining setups. It is suited for light finishing passes on aluminum, brass, plastics, and similar non-ferrous or soft materials where an uncoated carbide performs reliably.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for 1/8 inch shank corner radius end mills in standard collet chucks, ER collet holders, and toolholders accepting a 1/8 inch round shank.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with CNC or manual milling equipment. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or removing tooling. Seat the shank to the full collet engagement depth and torque the collet nut per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cutting pass, particularly in finish-milling operations where dimensional tolerances are tight.
