The ACCUPRO 12181253 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. With a 0.1181-inch (3.00 mm) mill diameter and a 0.4724-inch (12.00 mm) length of cut, this two-flute tool is built for tight-tolerance work in small-feature applications. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating improves heat resistance and extends tool life in dry or semi-dry cutting conditions. A 40-degree helix angle and spiral flute geometry promote efficient chip evacuation. Micrograin carbide construction delivers the hardness and edge retention needed for ferrous and non-ferrous materials at elevated cutting speeds.
This end mill is suited for CNC milling operations in job shops, tool rooms, and production machining environments. Its centercutting design allows plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral milling. With a 3.00 mm (0.1181-inch) shank diameter, it mounts directly in standard collet systems sized for 3 mm shanks. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry match standard spindle rotation, making it a straightforward drop-in for most vertical and horizontal machining centers. The regular-length configuration keeps the tool rigid in short-reach applications.
Designed as a standard 3 mm shank square end mill compatible with collet chucks, ER collet systems, and end mill holders sized for 3 mm shanks on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the spindle fully stopped and machine power locked out. Ensure the collet or holder bore matches the 3 mm shank diameter and that the tool is seated to the correct gauge length before tightening. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each use. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling manufacturer recommendations for speeds, feeds, and coolant strategy appropriate to this tool diameter and workpiece material.
