The ACCUPRO 12181231 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. With a 0.0591 inch (1.50 mm) mill diameter and a 0.1969 inch (5.00 mm) length of cut, this miniature end mill is built for fine detail work and tight-tolerance applications. The TiCN (titanium carbonitride) coating improves surface hardness and wear resistance, extending tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials alike. A 30-degree helix angle and spiral flute geometry promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Micrograin carbide construction provides the rigidity and edge retention needed for small-diameter tooling where deflection control is critical.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills handling small-feature work in tool and die, mold making, electronics component machining, and precision part production. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, giving machinists flexibility to feed directly into the workpiece. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is standard for conventional and climb milling on most CNC platforms. It fits applications requiring a regular-length tool in a 3.00 mm shank diameter, compatible with standard collet systems in that size range.
Designed for use with collet systems and tool holders accepting a 3.00 mm shank diameter. Suitable for CNC machining centers and manual mills running standard right-hand spindle rotation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with small-diameter carbide tooling. Ensure the collet and holder are clean and within tolerance before seating the shank to prevent runout. At diameters under 0.0625 inch, carbide end mills are brittle — avoid excessive overhang and confirm runout with a dial indicator before full-speed operation. Power down and de-energize the spindle completely before tool changes.
