The ACCUPRO 12180925 is a single-end ball end mill designed for contour milling, profiling, and 3D surface work in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The tool is ground from micrograin solid carbide, which provides higher hardness and edge retention compared to high-speed steel. It features an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating that improves heat resistance and tool life in dry or semi-dry cutting conditions. With a 0.25-inch cutting diameter, a 0.25-inch length of cut, and a 4-inch overall length, this end mill suits applications where reach and precision in contoured surfaces are priorities. It is installed and operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in CNC and manual milling environments.
This end mill is well suited for finish profiling passes, die cavities, mold work, and curved-surface interpolation in steel, stainless, cast iron, and hardened alloys. The 30-degree right-hand helix promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The 0.25-inch shank diameter is compatible with standard ER and straight-bore collet systems found on vertical and horizontal machining centers. The 2-flute geometry provides adequate chip clearance for slotting and light ramping operations. This tool is sold as a single unit and is intended for professional machining applications.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling option for CNC and manual milling machines accepting a 0.25-inch straight shank via ER collet, end mill holder, or equivalent workholding.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's guidelines. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Verify collet size, runout, and holder cleanliness before seating the shank. Do not exceed the manufacturer's recommended depth-of-cut or feed rate for the workpiece material and machine rigidity.
