The ACCUPRO 12180855 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built with 7 flutes and a 0.03 inch corner radius, it delivers smooth surface finishes and extended tool life in demanding cutting conditions. The nACRo coating provides high hardness, oxidation resistance, and reduced friction at the cutting edge, making it well suited for dry or minimum-quantity-lubrication machining. Variable index flute spacing reduces harmonic vibration during aggressive passes. At 3/4 inch in diameter with a 1-5/8 inch length of cut and 4 inch overall length, this end mill handles side milling, profiling, and finishing operations in a single-end, center-cutting configuration.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills for profiling, contouring, and pocket milling operations. The corner radius geometry distributes cutting load away from sharp corners, reducing chipping and extending tool life compared to square end mills. It is appropriate for production shops, tool rooms, and job shops working in alloy steels, stainless steel, hardened materials, and high-temp alloys. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting action are standard for conventional CNC spindle rotation.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement-style end mill for standard 3/4 inch ER or side-lock collet chucks and tool holders used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines requiring a 3/4 inch shank diameter.
This end mill is installed and serviced by machinists using standard CNC toolholders or collet chucks rated for 3/4 inch shank tooling. Ensure the shank is fully seated and the collet is torqued to the toolholder manufacturer specification before operation. Inspect the cutting edge and coating condition before each use; do not run a chipped or worn tool at programmed cutting parameters. Follow shop safety protocols including proper guarding and chip containment when operating at cutting speed.
