The ACCUPRO 12180848 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance milling in demanding materials. It features a 3/8 inch diameter, a 1-1/4 inch length of cut, and a 0.03 inch corner radius that reduces edge chipping and extends tool life in hardened steels and aerospace alloys. The 7-flute geometry increases chip load capacity and improves surface finish on finish-pass and semi-finish operations. An nACRo coating provides oxidation resistance and thermal stability at elevated cutting speeds. Variable index flute spacing reduces harmonic vibration, making this tool well suited for high-speed machining centers and CNC mills used in precision manufacturing environments. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers in job shops, production facilities, and tool rooms.
This end mill is designed for use in CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers where tight tolerances and fine surface finishes are required. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, expanding its range of applications to include slot milling, pocket milling, and ramp entry toolpaths. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute spiral are standard for conventional and climb milling strategies. The 3/8 inch shank diameter fits common ER collet chucks and end mill holders found in most shop tooling setups.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide end mill compatible with standard 3/8 inch ER collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and end mill holders on CNC machining centers accepting a 3/8 inch shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank in a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque the retention nut to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout at the cutting edge before engaging the workpiece. Always confirm spindle direction and programmed feed and speed values match the tool geometry before initiating a cut.
