The ACCUPRO 12180845 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 1/4 inch diameter with a 0.03 inch corner radius, producing controlled edge geometry that reduces chipping and extends tool life on hardened and abrasive materials. The 7-flute configuration paired with a 37-degree helix angle improves chip evacuation and surface finish at higher feed rates. An nACRo coating provides enhanced wear resistance and thermal protection, making this tool suitable for demanding cutting conditions. Machinists and toolroom professionals working on CNC machining centers will find this end mill well-suited for finishing passes and contour work.
This end mill is intended for use on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers in job shop, production, and toolroom environments. Its single-end, centercutting design supports plunge entry as well as peripheral and slot milling. The variable index flute spacing helps reduce harmonic vibration during cuts, which is particularly useful when machining tight-tolerance features in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute direction are standard for conventional CNC spindle configurations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for 1/4 inch collet or end mill holder setups on CNC machining centers requiring a corner radius end mill with a 1/4 inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for tool holding and runout specifications. Ensure the spindle and tool holder are clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Confirm tool projection and stick-out are minimized to reduce deflection. Always verify spindle speed and feed parameters against the material being cut before initiating a program.
