The ACCUPRO 12180835 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal cutting and machining applications. With a 1 inch cutting diameter and 7 spiral flutes finished in nACRo coating, this tool delivers high-performance material removal with extended tool life. The micrograin carbide substrate supports rigidity and edge retention under demanding cutting conditions. It carries a 2.625 inch length of cut, a 5 inch overall length, and a 1 inch shank diameter, making it well suited for deeper slotting, profiling, and finishing passes on ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines where a 1 inch straight shank holder or collet chuck is used. The 37.5 degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces during side milling and full-slot operations. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is standard for conventional CNC spindle setups. Centercutting capability allows direct plunge entry into workpiece material without a pre-drilled pilot hole. This tool is appropriate for job shops, tool rooms, and production machining environments.
Designed for use in standard 1 inch shank milling tool holders, collet chucks, and hydraulic chucks compatible with CNC machining centers or manual knee mills accepting a 1 inch straight shank.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and the machine placed in an energy-isolated state per applicable lockout/tagout procedures. Ensure the tool holder bore and shank are clean and free of chips or burrs before seating the end mill. Tighten the tool holder to the manufacturer-specified clamping torque using the appropriate wrench. Verify runout at the cutting diameter with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut.
