The ACCUPRO 12180710 is a 5-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding machining environments. Built from micrograin carbide and finished with an AlTiN coating, this tool delivers heat resistance and edge retention suited for cutting hardened steels, stainless alloys, and abrasive materials. It features a 40-degree helix angle, variable index flute spacing, and a right-hand cut with right-hand spiral flutes. At 0.125 inches in diameter with a 0.5-inch length of cut and 1.5-inch overall length, it is sized for tight-tolerance slotting, profiling, and pocket milling. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this end mill in CNC milling centers where surface finish and tool life are critical.
This end mill is suited for precision machining work in job shops, aerospace component production, die and mold work, and general CNC milling applications. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole, making it versatile for both 2D and 3D toolpath strategies. The 0.125-inch shank diameter matches standard ER collet and shrink-fit toolholding systems commonly found on vertical and horizontal machining centers. The 40-degree helix promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduced cutting forces in harder workpiece materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide square end mill for standard 0.125-inch ER collet, shrink-fit, or hydraulic toolholders used in CNC vertical and horizontal milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the controller is in a safe state before changing tooling. Confirm collet bore and toolholder bore are clean and free of chips before seating the shank. Torque collet nuts to the toolholder manufacturer specification and verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning production cuts.
