The ACCUPRO 12180493 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. With a 0.25 inch mill diameter, a 1.25 inch length of cut, and a 0.01 inch corner radius, this single-end tool is built for machinists who need consistent edge geometry and tight tolerances. The AlTiN coating provides heat resistance and extended tool life in hard materials and high-speed applications. The micrograin carbide substrate supports sharp, durable cutting edges across a variety of workpiece materials. Centercutting capability allows for plunge milling as well as peripheral cuts, making it a versatile tool for production and toolroom use.
This end mill is suited for milling operations on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, alloys, and hardened materials in CNC machining centers and manual mills. The 4-flute configuration and 40-degree helix angle promote smooth chip evacuation and improved surface finish. Variable index geometry reduces harmonic vibration during extended cuts. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute direction make it compatible with standard spindle rotation on the vast majority of vertical and horizontal machining centers. It is commonly used in die and mold work, aerospace part production, and general precision machining where corner integrity is critical.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and direct-fit cutting tool for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 0.25 inch round shank. Fits standard 1/4 inch ER collets, end mill holders, and milling chucks.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before inserting or removing the tool from its holder. Clean the shank and collet bore before seating to prevent runout caused by chips or debris. Do not exceed the recommended overhang length for the material and cut depth being used, as excessive extension reduces rigidity and tool life.
