The ACCUPRO 12179935 is a single-end ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, hardened steels, and high-temperature alloys. Constructed from micrograin solid carbide, it offers the rigidity and wear resistance needed for demanding CNC machining applications. The 0.125-inch diameter cutting head features a 3-flute spiral geometry with a 35-degree right-hand helix angle. An AlTiN coating provides high-temperature oxidation resistance, extending tool life in dry or high-speed cutting conditions. This tool is suited for machinists and tooling professionals running high-speed machining centers or CNC mills where tight tolerances and surface finish are critical.
This ball end mill is used in precision machining environments including mold and die work, aerospace component machining, and general contour milling. The 0.5-inch length of cut supports slotting, profiling, and 3D contouring in shallow to medium-depth cavities. The 0.125-inch shank diameter is compatible with standard collet systems. Right-hand cutting direction suits conventional CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers. Typical users include CNC machinists, tool-and-die makers, and prototype shops requiring fine-detail work in compact geometries.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard 1/8-inch shank collet systems on CNC vertical machining centers, high-speed spindles, and toolholders accepting right-hand single-end ball end mills with a 1/8-inch shank diameter.
Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or tooling technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer is in a safe state before inserting or removing the tool. Secure the shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder to the collet manufacturer specifications, and verify runout with a dial indicator before running. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or coating damage before each use.
