The ACCUPRO 12179550 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 0.75 inch cutting diameter with a 1.625 inch length of cut and a 4 inch overall length, making it a regular-length tool suited for general-purpose slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling. The 0.75 inch shank diameter matches the cutting diameter for direct collet or end mill holder mounting. With four flutes and a TiCN (titanium carbonitride) coating, this end mill provides good wear resistance and surface finish performance in a wide range of shop environments. Installed by machinists and tool and die professionals on vertical mills, VMCs, and CNC machining centers.
This end mill is appropriate for production and job shop applications requiring a standard coarse-pitch, four-flute geometry. The 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation during slotting and side milling passes. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece without a pre-drilled starting hole. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are standard for conventional and climb milling on most spindle configurations. Suitable for steel, alloy steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar materials where TiCN coatings provide adequate heat and abrasion resistance.
Designed as a direct-fit solid carbide square end mill for use in standard 0.75 inch collets, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders on vertical mills and CNC machining centers.
This tooling is installed by machinists and CNC operators; ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Secure the shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder to the torque specification recommended by the toolholder manufacturer. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for chips or damage before each use. Follow shop feeds-and-speeds data for TiCN-coated carbide appropriate to the workpiece material and machine rigidity.
