The ACCUPRO 12179052 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 3/4 inch cutting diameter, a 3 inch length of cut, and a 6 inch overall length. The micrograin carbide construction provides rigidity and wear resistance under aggressive feed conditions. A 40-degree helix angle and spiral flute geometry promote efficient chip evacuation and reduced cutting forces. The nACRo coating adds thermal and oxidation resistance, extending tool life in high-speed and dry-cutting applications. This end mill is centercutting, allowing plunge entry directly into the workpiece. It is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators in job shop and production environments.
This end mill suits a wide range of milling operations including slotting, profiling, and pocketing on CNC machining centers and manual mills. The 3/4 inch shank diameter provides secure gripping in standard end mill holders, collet chucks, and shrink-fit toolholders. With a 3 inch length of cut and no extended reach configuration, it is well suited for shallow-to-medium depth passes where tool rigidity is a priority. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation make it compatible with standard spindle rotation on vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tool for standard 3/4 inch end mill holders, collet chucks, and shrink-fit tooling systems on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or powered-down state before changing tooling. Seat the shank to the recommended engagement depth in the toolholder and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut to avoid premature tool failure or dimensional error.
