The ACCUPRO 12177750 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.3438-inch (11/32-inch) cutting diameter and a 0.75-inch length of cut, this tool is built for contour milling, profiling, and finish passes on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The AlTiN coating improves heat resistance and tool life at elevated cutting speeds. Four spiral flutes and a 40-degree helix angle combine to deliver efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. This is a double-end configuration, providing two usable cutting ends and extending tool life between replacements. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install and use this tool in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill suits CNC machining centers and manual mills used in die and mold work, aerospace component machining, and general-purpose metal removal. The 3/8-inch shank diameter fits standard ER and side-lock collet chucks commonly found in vertical and horizontal machining centers. The 3.5-inch overall length accommodates moderate-reach applications without sacrificing rigidity. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make this tool compatible with conventional right-hand spindle setups. It is suited for shops running ferrous alloys, stainless steels, and hardened materials where AlTiN coating performance is an advantage.
Designed for use in standard 3/8-inch collet chucks and side-lock holders on CNC machining centers and manual mills with right-hand spindle rotation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the end mill from the tool holder. Seat the shank to the full recommended grip length in the collet or holder and torque the retention nut according to the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for chipping or wear before each use; a damaged end mill should not be run.
