The ACCUPRO 12177369 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It features a 6 mm cutting diameter with a 1 mm corner radius, a 2-flute right-hand spiral configuration, and a bright uncoated finish suited for a range of workpiece materials. The 6 mm length of cut and 30-degree helix angle support efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. At 57 mm overall length with a 6 mm shank diameter, this single-end centercutting tool is built for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines where tight tolerances and repeatable performance are required.
This end mill is appropriate for use in job shops, toolrooms, and production machining environments handling ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics, and composite materials. The centercutting design allows direct plunge entry into the workpiece. The extended reach geometry, with an 11 mm reach length, gives access to deeper features without sacrificing rigidity. Machinists and CNC operators working on contoured profiles, pocket milling, and blending operations will find the corner radius geometry effective for reducing stress concentrations and extending tool life at part corners.
Designed as a standard shank end mill compatible with ER collet chucks, Weldon-style holders, and shrink-fit toolholders accepting a 6 mm shank diameter on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator following the toolholder manufacturer's clamping specifications. Ensure the shank is fully seated and clean before tightening the collet or set screw holder. Verify spindle runout is within acceptable limits before beginning a cut, as excessive runout accelerates wear on small-diameter carbide tools. Refer to the machine tool manufacturer's guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures when setting tool offsets and feed rates.
