The ACCUPRO 12177354 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 3 mm cutting diameter with a 0.25 mm corner radius, a 3 mm length of cut, and a 2-flute, right-hand spiral geometry. The tool is coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) for extended tool life and improved heat resistance at elevated cutting speeds. With a 30-degree helix angle and centercutting capability, this end mill handles both plunge and peripheral milling. It is ground from micrograin carbide stock for dimensional stability and edge consistency. A licensed machinist or CNC operator installs and qualifies this tooling.
This end mill is suited for finish and semi-finish milling of ferrous alloys, hardened steels, stainless steels, and cast iron in CNC machining center applications. The single-end, extended-reach configuration with a 15 mm reach length and 6 mm shank diameter makes it well-suited for pocketing, profiling, and contouring where a small-diameter tool must reach into deeper features. The corner radius geometry reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and improves surface finish on inside radii. Typical applications include die and mold work, aerospace components, and precision part production.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide corner radius end mill compatible with standard ER collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and other toolholders accepting a 6 mm shank diameter in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing tooling. Verify collet or toolholder runout with a dial indicator before cutting to stay within the stated diameter tolerance. Do not exceed the manufacturer-recommended depth of cut or feed rate for the material being machined, and inspect the cutting edge for chipping or wear before each use.
