The ACCUPRO 12177067 is a 4-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in tight-tolerance applications. Built from micrograin carbide and finished with an AlTiN coating, this tool handles elevated cutting temperatures while maintaining edge integrity. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. With a 1/16-inch cutting diameter and 3/16-inch length of cut, it is sized for fine detail work, slotting, and profiling in small or precision-machined features. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers in job shop, tool room, and production machining environments.
This end mill suits applications requiring a small-diameter, high-rigidity cutting tool. The 1/8-inch shank diameter accommodates standard collet chucks and end mill holders. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral milling. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation follow the most common spindle configuration. The AlTiN finish makes it well suited for dry or semi-dry cutting of hardened steels, stainless alloys, titanium, and heat-resistant superalloys where coolant may be limited or undesirable.
Designed as a standard-shank square end mill with a 1/8-inch shank diameter, compatible with ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and precision chucks configured for 1/8-inch tooling in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before mounting or changing tooling. Seat the shank to the full recommended gauge-line depth in the holder and verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut. Follow the tool manufacturer and machine builder guidelines for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut appropriate to the workpiece material.
