The ACCUPRO 12176637 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It features a 9/16 inch (0.5625 inch) mill diameter, a 2-1/2 inch length of cut, and a 0.025 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at machined corners and extends tool life in production environments. The AlTiN coating provides high-temperature resistance and hardness, making this end mill well suited for dry or high-speed machining of hardened steels, stainless steel, and cast iron. With three flutes and a 40-degree helix angle, it offers a balance of chip evacuation and surface finish quality. Machinists and toolroom operators working on CNC machining centers will find it appropriate for profile milling, slotting, and contouring operations.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers where a corner radius profile is required to blend walls and floors. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry and flexible toolpath programming. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction are standard for conventional CNC milling setups. The micrograin carbide substrate supports tight tolerances and consistent edge integrity across production runs. It is used in job shops, tool and die operations, and production machining environments where dimensional accuracy and coating durability are required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers accepting a 9/16 inch straight shank end mill in a standard milling chuck, collet, or shrink-fit holder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and powered down before changing tooling. Secure the shank in a clean, undamaged collet or tool holder to the full recommended grip length to minimize runout. Verify tool stick-out and confirm programmed feeds and speeds are appropriate for the workpiece material and depth of cut before initiating a cycle.
