The ABBOTT WORKHOLDING PRODUCTS KTT15SSQ is a 3-piece set of soft lathe chuck jaws designed for use in metal-turning operations on manual and CNC lathes. Constructed from 1018 steel with a serrated jaw interface, these jaws provide secure workpiece clamping with reliable grip transfer across the jaw face. At 6.5 inches overall length, 3 inches overall height, and 2.5 inches overall width, the jaws are sized for chucks ranging from 15 inches to 18 inches compatible diameter. Machinists and lathe operators install these jaws as a matched set during chuck setup or when replacing worn soft jaw sets.
These serrated soft jaws are intended for use in machine shop environments on lathes requiring 3-jaw chuck configurations in the 15 to 18 inch compatible chuck diameter range. The square jaw shape and serrated interface suit repetitive production turning and fixture work where the jaws are bored to fit a specific part diameter. Typical applications include short-run manufacturing, toolroom work, and production turning where repeatable part location is required.
Designed for use with 3-jaw lathe chucks with a compatible chuck diameter range of 15 inches to 18 inches and a serrated jaw interface with a groove width of 0.8661 inches.
Installation is performed by a machinist or lathe operator. Power down and lock out the lathe before removing or installing chuck jaws. Ensure all three jaws are seated fully in the chuck body slots and fasteners are torqued evenly before operating the machine. After installation, soft jaws must be bored to the required workpiece diameter before use in production.
