The ABB THQP115 is a single-pole plug-in circuit breaker rated at 15 amps, designed for use in residential and light commercial load centers. It provides overcurrent and short-circuit protection for branch circuits, interrupting fault current to protect wiring and connected equipment. The THQP series uses a plug-in mounting style that seats directly into compatible load center buses. Licensed electricians install this breaker as part of new construction, panel upgrades, or branch circuit additions. Its compact half-size profile makes it suitable for high-density panel applications where space is limited.
The THQP115 is intended for use in indoor residential and light commercial panelboards that accept plug-in style breakers on a standard bus pitch. Typical applications include 15-amp branch circuits serving lighting, receptacles, and small appliance loads. The half-size footprint allows two THQP breakers to occupy the space of one standard full-size breaker slot, making it a common choice for panel retrofits and capacity expansions where additional circuits are needed without replacing the enclosure.
Designed as an OEM-style plug-in circuit breaker for residential and light commercial load centers that accept THQP-series half-size breakers on a standard plug-in bus.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code and all applicable local codes. The main breaker or utility disconnect must be shut off and the panel verified de-energized before handling any bus components. Plug the breaker firmly onto the load center bus until it seats fully, then torque the branch circuit conductor to the terminal lug per the load center manufacturer's instructions. Do not install this breaker in a panel that does not accept the THQP plug-in mounting style.
