The ABB tcal25 is a terminal lug kit designed for use with molded case circuit breakers in the F225 frame class. This kit provides the conductor termination hardware needed to land incoming feeder cables directly on the breaker lugs. It accepts copper or aluminum conductors ranging from 4 AWG to 300 MCM, covering a wide range of feeder cable sizes common in commercial and light industrial panelboard installations. The kit includes three lugs, covering all three poles of a standard three-phase breaker. Installation is performed by licensed electricians during new construction wiring or panel upgrades.
This lug kit is suited for molded case circuit breaker applications in commercial and light industrial electrical distribution equipment. It is specifically intended for use with the F225 frame breaker series. Electricians use this kit when the breaker is ordered without factory-installed lugs or when a field-installed lug upgrade is required to accommodate larger conductor sizes than the breaker ships with as standard.
Designed for use with F225 frame molded case circuit breakers as specified in the product data.
Installation must be performed by a qualified licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). De-energize and lockout/tagout the panel before installing or servicing any breaker hardware. Ensure conductor insulation is stripped to the correct length per lug manufacturer markings, and torque lug screws to the value printed on the lug body or breaker label. Do not mix conductor metals within a single lug unless the lug is rated for both copper and aluminum use.
