The ABB SN-236 is a two-gang nail-on new work outlet box designed for residential and light commercial electrical rough-in work. Molded from PVC, this blue device box provides 36 cubic inches of volume, giving electricians adequate fill capacity for standard switch and outlet installations. It measures 4 inches in length, 3-5/8 inches in width, and 3-1/8 inches in depth. Compound angled side nails allow fast, accurate positioning against studs during framing. The molded 3/8-inch offset wallboard tabs and fast-clamp/fast-set design reduce layout and fastening time during new construction rough-in.

The SN-236 is intended for new work installations where framing is accessible before drywall is applied. Installation Notes

Installation is performed by a licensed electrician during the rough-in phase of new construction, before drywall or wall covering is applied. All wiring must comply with the current edition of the NEC, including applicable fill calculations for the 36 cubic inch volume.
