The ABB B9101/4 is a 1/4 inch steel channel nut designed for use with strut framing systems in electrical, mechanical, and plumbing installations. Channel nuts slip into standard slotted strut channel and allow threaded rod, bolts, or fittings to be secured at any point along the channel without drilling. This hardware is a standard component in conduit support, pipe hanging, and equipment mounting applications. The B9101/4 is supplied in a 100-count pack, making it suitable for larger installations or stocking in a service vehicle or shop. Electricians, pipefitters, and HVAC installers are the primary users of this type of hardware.
Channel nuts in this size are used throughout commercial and residential construction wherever strut channel is installed as a support structure. Common applications include conduit runs, pipe supports, cable tray framing, unistrut assemblies, and mechanical equipment mounting. The 1/4 inch thread size fits standard 1/4-20 or 1/4-28 fasteners depending on the mating hardware. This pack quantity is well suited for rough-in work on multi-unit residential projects or light commercial build-outs.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard hardware component for use with slotted steel strut channel framing systems in electrical, plumbing, and mechanical support applications.
Channel nuts are installed by sliding or spring-loading into the open slot of strut channel prior to or after positioning the channel. De-energize any circuits in the work area before installing conduit support hardware near live electrical infrastructure. Installation should comply with applicable NEC requirements for conduit and equipment support. Use appropriate torque on the mating fastener to prevent the nut from rotating within the channel under load.
