The ABB ASL60-22 is a dual-barrel aluminum-copper (Al-Cu) compression lug rated for conductors from 2 AWG through 600 AWG. It accepts both aluminum and copper conductors, making it a versatile termination solution for high-ampacity feeder and service-entrance connections. The two-barrel design allows a single lug to accept two conductors simultaneously, reducing the need for additional splicing hardware. Electricians use this lug in panel terminations, switchgear, motor control centers, and other heavy-duty electrical distribution applications.
The ASL60-22 is suited for commercial and industrial electrical installations where dual-conductor terminations are required on large-gauge feeders. Its Al-Cu rating means it can terminate either conductor material without requiring separate lug inventories for aluminum and copper wiring. This lug is packaged in a 30-unit pack, making it practical for projects requiring multiple terminations or for stocking service vehicles and job-site inventory.
Designed as an OEM-style compression lug for use in residential, commercial, and industrial electrical panels, switchgear, and distribution equipment requiring 2-600 AWG dual-barrel Al-Cu terminations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements for conductor terminations. De-energize and lock out the circuit before installing or removing lugs. Use a calibrated compression tool sized for the lug and conductor gauge to achieve a proper crimp. Do not use open-flame tools to seat aluminum conductors; apply appropriate oxide inhibitor compound to aluminum conductors before termination per local code requirements.
