The 3M MMM40124X55 masking tape is a high-performance crepe-paper backed tape designed for paint masking, high-temperature paint-bake, and powder-coating applications. It uses a synthetic rubber, solvent-free adhesive that bonds instantly to metal, rubber, glass, plastic and EPDM moldings, conforms to irregular surfaces, resists paint bleed-through, and withstands surface temperatures up to 250 degrees Fahrenheit (121 degrees Celsius) for 30 minutes. The tape tears easily and removes cleanly in one piece with no adhesive residue.
