The 3M 7100264446 is a Scotch-Brite Roloc Precision Surface Conditioning Disc designed for general-purpose surface conditioning in metalworking and fabrication environments. Built with 3M Precision-Shaped Grain ceramic abrasive integrated into a nonwoven web, it delivers faster cutting speed and longer abrasive life compared to conventional surface conditioning discs. At 2 inches in diameter and rated Fine grade, this disc is sized for detail work and tight-access areas. It is installed using a Roloc quick-change attachment system, making it practical for high-turnover production environments where disc changes need to be fast. Licensed tradespeople and fabrication professionals are the primary installers.
This disc is suited for cleaning, blending, deburring, and finishing operations on aluminum, soft metals, carbon steel, and stainless steel. Typical applications include coating and corrosion removal, surface refining, and post-cast processing. The open web construction resists loading, which extends disc life when working on gummy or soft materials. The Fine grade makes it appropriate for finish blending and light material removal where surface quality is a priority over aggressive stock removal.
Designed for use with Roloc quick-change right-angle grinders and die grinders that accept 2-inch Roloc-style discs. Suitable for use on aluminum and soft metals, carbon steel, and stainless steel substrates across cleaning, blending, deburring, and finishing applications.
Installation requires a Roloc-compatible mandrel mounted in a right-angle grinder or die grinder rated for the disc diameter. Ensure the tool is powered off and disconnected from the air supply or power source before attaching or removing the disc. Follow the grinder manufacturer's maximum RPM rating and verify the disc speed rating does not exceed the tool speed. Use appropriate PPE including eye protection and gloves when operating abrasive discs.
