The 3M 7100150926 is the TR-800-ECK, a complete intrinsically safe powered air purifying respirator (PAPR) kit designed for hazardous industrial environments where explosion risk and airborne particulate control are critical concerns. The system centers on the TR-802N IS blower unit, which carries a UL Division 1 rating, paired with the TR-830 intrinsically safe rechargeable lithium ion battery delivering 4 to 8 hours of run time. A TR-6710N high-efficiency (HE) particulate filter with NIOSH approval provides the filtration core. Visual and audible low-flow alerts notify the wearer when airflow drops below acceptable levels. Licensed HVAC, industrial hygiene, or safety professionals in regulated facilities are the primary installers and end users of this system.
This PAPR kit is suited for pharmaceutical research and production environments, spray painting and maintenance operations, and oil and gas sites where combustible atmospheres and fine particulate hazards coexist. The belt-mounted blower and back-mounted BT-30 length-adjusting breathing tube connect to a disposable S-433L hood with integrated head suspension for a complete respiratory assembly. The inclusion of all accessories in a single kit supports immediate deployment without additional procurement. The TR-653 storage and cleaning kit and TR-971 airflow indicator further support ongoing maintenance and compliance verification in regulated industrial programs.

This respirator system should be deployed by a qualified safety officer or industrial hygienist in accordance with the site respiratory protection program and applicable OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 requirements. Before servicing or replacing the filter or battery, power down the PAPR unit and follow the site lockout procedure for any associated process equipment. Do not substitute non-intrinsically-safe components in Division 1 classified areas. Verify airflow using the TR-971 airflow indicator at the start of each shift as required by the respiratory protection program.
