The 3M 7100138370 is a Hookita Microfinishing Film Disc in the 366L series, designed for precision surface finishing across a wide range of materials. It uses micron-graded aluminum oxide abrasive bonded to a durable polyester film backing. This combination delivers a fast cut rate while producing a consistent, uniform finish. The disc is rated for up to 12,000 RPM and measures 6 inches in diameter. It features a load-resistant coating to prevent clogging and a hook and loop Hookita attachment system for quick disc changes during multi-step finishing operations. Installers and surface prep technicians working in metal fabrication, woodworking, composites, and coating removal applications will find this disc well suited to production finishing workflows.
This disc is used for surface preparation and finishing on wood, solid surface composites, plastic, fiberglass, paint, primer, e-coat, and metal. The vacuum-compatible design and open coat construction support dust-managed environments. It is well suited for body shops, fabrication shops, and industrial finishing lines where consistent scratch patterns and tight surface tolerances are required. Its load-resistant coating extends disc life in applications involving coatings, corrosion removal, and primer work.
Designed for use on wood, solid surface composites, plastic, fiberglass, paint prep, coatings, corrosion removal, primer, e-coat, and metal surfaces. Compatible with 6 inch hook and loop backing pads on random orbital sanders equipped for vacuum dust extraction.
Attach the disc to a compatible 6 inch hook and loop sanding pad before powering on the tool. Confirm the tool spindle speed does not exceed 12,000 RPM before operation. Ensure vacuum extraction is connected before use in dust-controlled environments. Inspect the disc for damage or wear before each use and replace if the abrasive or backing shows signs of deterioration.
