The 3M 7100138293 is a radial bristle brush designed for surface conditioning, blending, deburring, and light material removal on metal and other hard surfaces. The brush uses ceramic abrasive bristles rated at 80 grit, placing it in the medium grade category. It spins on a plain arbor connection and is built to run at speeds up to 30,000 RPM. At 1/16 inch thick and 2 inches in outside diameter, it fits into tight areas and contoured surfaces where flat abrasive discs cannot reach. Licensed tradespeople and fabricators use this brush in maintenance, repair, and manufacturing applications.
This radial bristle brush is suited for use on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, welds, and hard-to-reach areas such as grooves, slots, and recesses. It is a common tool in HVAC fabrication shops, plumbing rough-in work involving copper and steel pipe prep, and general metalworking environments. The 3/8 inch arbor hole allows it to mount on standard rotary tools, die grinders, and compatible mandrels. The yellow color indicates the medium 80-grit grade within the product line.
Designed for use with rotary tools and die grinders accepting a 3/8 inch arbor hole and a plain arbor connection style. A compatible mandrel is typically required for mounting.
Mounting and operation should be performed by personnel familiar with rotary abrasive tools and applicable shop safety standards. Confirm the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 30,000 RPM maximum rated speed before use. Always inspect the brush for damage before mounting and ensure the arbor nut is properly secured. Wear appropriate eye protection and follow all applicable ANSI abrasive safety guidelines during operation.
