The 3M 7100134119 is an adhesive transfer tape built on 3M High Performance Acrylic Adhesive 350, delivered on a tan 58 lb. PCK (polycoated kraft) paper liner. At 5.0 mils thick, the tape provides a high-strength bond to both high and low surface energy substrates, including powder coated paints. The fiber-reinforced adhesive resists oozing and maintains roll stability in narrow widths. Rated for short-term temperature exposure up to 450 degrees F and long-term use up to 300 degrees F, this tape is suited for demanding bonding applications where chemical resistance and dimensional stability are required.
This transfer tape is designed for bonding dissimilar materials, including those with low surface energy or rougher surface profiles. Typical applications include assembly operations in manufacturing, sign fabrication, and general industrial bonding where a clean, liner-free adhesive layer is needed. The moisture-resistant PCK liner minimizes wrinkles during handling and application, making it practical for high-volume or precision bonding workflows. The tape ships as a single roll measuring 48 inches wide by 60 yards long.
Designed for bonding high and low surface energy materials, including powder coated paints and rougher surface substrates, in industrial assembly and fabrication applications.
Application should be performed by personnel familiar with pressure-sensitive adhesive transfer tapes. Clean and dry bonding surfaces before application to ensure full adhesive contact. Apply firm, uniform pressure across the tape after positioning to activate the bond. When working at or near rated temperature limits, verify that all substrate materials and adjacent components are rated for the same thermal exposure.
