The 3M 7100132226 is a convolute deburring wheel designed for edge finishing, light deburring, and surface blending on metal workpieces. Built with silicon carbide abrasive at a soft density grade (Density 2), the wheel conforms to part contours and removes burrs without aggressive material removal. It measures 4 inches in diameter with a 1-inch face width and a 1-inch center hole, and it is rated to a maximum of 9,000 RPM. Machinists, fabricators, and metalworking technicians typically install and operate this wheel in production and job-shop environments.
This deburring wheel is suited for inline sanders and manual backstand setups. It performs well on ferrous and non-ferrous metals where a consistent, controlled finish is needed along edges or inside contours. The convolute construction compresses and rebounds uniformly, making it a practical choice for production deburring runs or bench finishing work where wheel life consistency matters.
Designed for use with inline sanders and manual backstand tooling. Verify spindle arbor size and maximum rated speed of the host machine before mounting.
Installation should be performed by a qualified operator familiar with abrasive wheel safety. Before mounting, power down and lock out the machine per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Confirm the machine spindle speed does not exceed the 9,000 RPM wheel rating and that the arbor diameter matches the 1-inch center hole. Inspect the wheel for damage before each use and never exceed the marked maximum speed.
