The 3M 7100113615 is a clear, double-coated removable repositionable tape built on a UPVC film carrier with a low-density polyethylene (LDPE) liner. One side uses 3M Acrylic Adhesive 400 for strong, permanent-style bonding with short-term heat resistance up to 250 degrees F. The other side uses 3M Repositionable Acrylic Adhesive 1070, which holds firmly to a wide range of surfaces and releases cleanly without adhesive transfer. The tape measures 0.5 inches wide on a 72-yard roll at 3.8 mil total thickness. Slight differential tack between the two adhesive faces is an engineered characteristic of this product.
This tape is suited for applications where one bonded surface must remain permanent while the other requires clean removal or repositioning. Typical applications include window label mounting, paper bonding, light-assembly fixturing, and graphic arts work involving metals, glass, wood, painted surfaces, and many plastics. The UPVC carrier provides clarity and UV resistance, making it appropriate for visible or exposed label applications. Medium solvent resistance supports use in environments with incidental contact with common solvents.
Designed for bonding similar and dissimilar materials including metals, glass, wood, uncoated papers, painted surfaces, and many plastics where differential tack performance is required.
Application is typically performed by hand or with a tape applicator tool. Surfaces should be clean, dry, and free of dust or oils before applying. Firm pressure applied across the full bond area improves initial adhesion. The repositionable side allows realignment before final press-down; once Adhesive 400 is fully seated, removal becomes more difficult.
