The 3M 7100077232 is a heat shrinkable cable breakout boot designed to insulate and seal cable breakouts in multiconductor armored or sheathed cables and conduit ends. Constructed from flame retardant, cross-linked polyolefin, this boot meets MIL-I-81765-1 material requirements. It features a 6-way outlet configuration and comes with an internal adhesive coating that creates a reliable environmental seal when heat is applied. Electrical contractors and instrumentation technicians use this boot to protect cable terminations from moisture, contamination, and mechanical stress in demanding installations.
This boot is suited for use in industrial, commercial, and infrastructure wiring applications where multiconductor cables must be transitioned cleanly through a breakout point. It is appropriate for armored cables and sheathed cables, as well as conduit entry sealing. The heat shrink process locks the boot in place and activates the internal adhesive layer for a moisture-resistant seal. One boot is supplied per unit.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit component for multiconductor armored or sheathed cable breakout applications requiring heat shrinkable boot sealing at conduit ends and cable transition points.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician or qualified instrumentation technician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize all circuits before installing the boot over cable breakout points. Apply uniform heat using an appropriate heat gun, working from the center outward to activate the internal adhesive and ensure a complete seal. Avoid open-flame heat sources, which can damage the boot material or create uneven shrink.
