The 3M 7100066554 is a unitized deburring wheel engineered for consistent material removal and surface finishing on metal workpieces. Built with silicon carbide abrasive at a fine grade and density 7, this wheel delivers a hard cutting action suited for deburring, blending, and light finishing passes. It measures 6 inches in diameter with a 1-inch face width and a 1-inch center hole, fitting standard die grinder arbors. Rated to a maximum of 7,500 RPM, it is designed for controlled, repeatable performance in both shop and field fabrication environments. Machinists, pipefitters, and metal fabricators are the typical end users.
This deburring wheel is intended for use with die grinders in applications that require removal of sharp edges, burrs, and weld spatter from metal surfaces. The unitized construction holds the abrasive grain throughout the wheel thickness, allowing the wheel to work consistently as it wears. It is well suited for stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, and other common shop metals in both production and maintenance-repair-operations settings.
Designed for use with die grinders accepting a 1-inch arbor hole and operating at or below 7,500 RPM.
Mounting and use of abrasive wheels should be performed by qualified personnel following ANSI B7.1 safety standards. Before mounting, inspect the wheel for cracks or damage and verify the grinder speed does not exceed the 7,500 RPM maximum rating marked on the wheel. Power down and disconnect the grinder from its power source before changing wheels. Always use the correct arbor flange and hardware specified for the tool to prevent wheel loosening during operation.
